Trip to Piran

After the impressive cave tour yesterday, today we are exploring the Slovenian Mediterranean coast. Specifically, the city of Piran.

Meanwhile, we are staying with Vladimir in Crni Kal. The tiny village is our home for 3 nights. It is simple but clean, super affordable and conveniently located.

After breakfast, we head to the city of Piran. Near the Italian border and next to Koper, Piran immediately exudes Mediterranean flair.

Narrow winding streets, a city wall, a church above the rooftops of the city overlooking the sea, and sailboats in the harbor instantly captivate us. We stroll around, let the city inspire us, enjoy the beautiful weather, and end our visit to the city with a strawberry ice cream sundae and a walk by the sea. The detour to Piran was definitely worth it.
