From Motril we end up on a tourist campsite just before Marbella- Camping Cabopino. Mainly you meet retirees here who spend the winter or families, as autumn holidays are in different countries and regions. So many children... Somehow we forget that Halloween is in a few days. It is reminded to us after the operators start to decorate the place and even set up a horror cabinet. In Spain, Halloween is very popular and seems to be a kind of family celebration. Many Spanish families travel on Halloween weekend and decorate their place as a cemetery with gravestones. In many places there are zombie marches through the city centers.
One day we explore Marbella, here the city of the rich and beautiful. The old town invites you everywhere to have a coffee or something to eat. The small, narrow and long streets can easily cause you to lose your orientation. The beach promenade looks nice but is not really dog-friendly. The small city beach is littered with sunbeds from some hotels. But not a big deal, because just a few minutes from our place there is a beautiful stretch of beach with dunes in a nature reserve. Also a popular spot for surfers. Instead of beautiful and rich people, we only meet heaps of parrots on our campsite, which shit on our car every day. After a short research, we find out that they are parakeets that have been introduced and are now considered a plague in Spain.
Then Malaga is the next destination to be explored. A large port with huge cruise ships and many tourist boat trips. The old town here is also characterized by long and narrow streets with small beautiful shops.
After 4 nights, we head towards the southernmost point of Europe- Tarifa.
