Long trip to Thailand

Asia, nice to see you again.

And luck must be on my side...my second piece of hand luggage can be checked in for free. Zero instead of 170€☺️.

We're hungry, been awake for a long time, treating myself to a vegetarian burger for breakfast. Everything is going smoothly so far - like it. Now we have a 12-hour flight to Singapore ahead of us. The flight is incredibly calm and time flies - pun intended.

In Singapore, we have a layover of about 3 hours before the plane takes off for Bangkok. I've been awake for too long and therefore constantly hungry, eating like a seven-headed caterpillar - burgers, soup, baguette, pad Thai, and rice curry.

Our hotel is nice, although the Thais take a loooong time to check us in. I need to go to bed, the other two ladies are going for a massage, to the pool, and treating themselves to an overpriced cocktail. For me, the land of dreams is what I really need right now.

Interesting facts about Thailand:

1. Thailand gets its name from the Thais, who make up about 90 percent of the population. In addition, Thailand is home to many ethnic minorities, including the Thai-Chinese, hill tribes (Mien, Lisu, etc.), Thai-Malays, Thai-Lao.
2. Similar to Venice, many houses in Bangkok were built on stilts along the river.
