Sète, the second day.
Heike's birthday dinner is still pending, so I am looking for the right restaurant and there are many of them. I read the reviews to speed things up a bit, but now I only read the bad reviews because I want it to be a successful meal. I recommend everyone to approach it this way. Certainly, every restaurant also has bad reviews, but how some of the owners in Sète deal with it is quite telling.
So let's do it like in the old days when this ranking didn't exist on the internet yet, we just find a restaurant in town.
So we arrive at Place du Pouffre. Actually, we just wanted to have a beer first, so we sat down at La Cave à Manger.
A few gentlemen were trying to tune the sound system. They played French chansons, but only small sequences. What we heard was music to our ears. After about half an hour, it was over, one of them put the guitar in the car, it looked like it was all over. The guy with the double bass must have noticed that we were excited about the music, he tried to start a conversation with us. Where are we from, we are from near Frankfurt, he is from Darmstadt, he worked for Air France in Frankfurt for three and a half years. We got a sticker in our hand, with the next tour dates written on it, and we learned that the group is also performing near Saarbrücken. There was a little back and forth, our paths separated again.

It didn't take long before the musicians got back together and they started their music, which captivated us.
The restaurant's menu featured tapas, so we ordered some.
We were allowed to listen to the group's music for an hour and a half, experience the hustle and bustle, the zest for life, the enthusiasm, and also the satisfaction of the guests. A highlight that we will remember for a long time.
The tapas tasted very good, we can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.
