Rain Rain Rain

The headline says it all. We stayed inside the house and sat in front of the crackling fireplace. Everyone was happy, except Heike who was a little anxious. She had expected to hang up the laundry that she had put in the washing machine the night before, but the weather had other plans. So Heike was sitting on pins and needles, hoping for sunshine that unfortunately did not come that day.

However, to Christian's dismay, the cats came again. Flora had trained them to come running when she whistled. In the end, we had three different plates for the cats. One with cat food, another with tuna, and the last one with lasagna. Everything neatly separated.

Since the two cats, who were practically our roommates now, were not enough for the children, they went to our neighbor. She is a baker and bakes bread and cakes in her living room. She has several cats and dogs living with her. The woman has fascinated us in the past. She stands in her living room all the time and bakes. Occasionally, customers come. She chats with them and feeds her 10 cats, 5 dogs, and countless chickens at the same time. The TV is playing soft music in the background.
