So, next night survived in the super duper heat suite. In the morning, we were greeted by the sight of the security man sticking a mop into a toilet - strange way of mopping the floor 🤔, well never mind - anyway, we immediately took a taxi to the train station. Once there, we quickly found our train and I treated myself to a true delicacy for breakfast, baguette with half raw duck - Long, where is your 'soldier's meal', it wasn't that bad! 🤢🙈 - Surprisingly, the train was really clean, nice and air-conditioned. Nothing stood in the way of a rapid dream journey (average speed 30 km/h).
Hardly had we left HCMC, when the dream ride turned into the next episode of 'verstehen Sie Spaß...?'. The lovable Vietnamese pensioner behind us started watching the news on his mobile phone. At a volume that would amaze many a Bose speaker. The Vietnamese on our right started playing games on his smartphone and engaged in a veritable battle of volume with the pensioner's news. To drown out the noise, the Vietnamese father of a family three rows behind us played Whitney Houston's song 'when you believe' on repeat. The fun slowly stopped! After about half an hour and approximately 30 'when you believe's', peace finally returned and we could get some sleep. Just as we were falling asleep, the child of the family started screaming - well, after the Whitney Houston orgy, it's no wonder - so we were awake again. Well, never mind, the main thing is that we arrived in Phan Thiet after almost 4 hours 😀
From there, we took a taxi to the hotel smoothly and quickly - our taxi driver must be at least the uncle if not the father of Sebastian Vettel! 🏎
Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted with peace, luxury and relaxation for the first time.
