Stopover in Indianapolis

In the morning, we quickly passed by the river in Chicago again, where we found very cool pictures by various artists in an underpass.

Indianapolis is the capital of the state of Indiana and also has a lot to offer.

Impressive here was the Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, a 87m high war memorial.

But sports also has a lot to offer in Indianapolis. On one hand they have the

Indianapolis Motor Speedway, a racetrack that was built in an oval and is 2.5 miles long. Noteworth is that 300,000 people can sit down here to watch. Mainly NASCAR races are held there.

Furthermore, there are the Indiana Pacers - an NBA team and the Indianapolis Colts who are represented in the NFL.

So, as you can see, sports plays a big role here.

The Museum of Sports and the associated shop were also very interesting.
