This morning we were expecting a visit after breakfast. Marielle's host parents came by and picked her up for a day. They took her to the beach of Santa Monica for one last day with her. But first they took her to the airport of LA. There Marielle was expecting a big surprise. Abby, her host sister, came all the way from New York to Los Angeles to spend one more day with her.
We spent a cozy day today. The boys wanted to rent kayaks again at the beach and paddle in the waves. Susanne and I explored Downtown Santa Barbara, bought souvenirs and bathroom carpets, enjoyed delicious yogurt ice cream, and enjoyed the coolness in the shops.
In the evening, the four of us went out for Mexican food. It's very good here and reasonably priced. The margaritas and mojitos are also excellent.
