We had a few more days before we had to pick up our visitors in São Paulo. We used the time to go surfing. The first surf spot had perfect conditions: it was safe, had parking right by the beach, and great company! While Jonas was scouting the waves, two Swiss people parked next to us with a VW LT 35, which is Egon's 10-year-older brother. Just like us, they love their car, but it can be quite nerve-wracking!
After 3 days, our companions decided to continue on. After being suggested by a city employee that we should also move on, we decided to accompany them.
In Brazil, there are many gated communities, and the next spot was right there. When we looked for a place to sleep, the residents told us that it was not a problem to sleep here. The security guard confirmed this as well. A man came by later and recommended a very nice parking lot next to the soccer field, a few meters away from the beach. Jackpot! It can't get much safer and nicer than this!
A bit overwhelmed by how many days have already passed, we had to pick up the pace the next day and drive to the airport in São Paulo to pick up Jonas' brother Mario and his friend Hannes. As cheeky as we are, we slept directly in the airport parking lot so that we could welcome them at 5 in the morning.
