We thought it would be much more chaotic, but driving here is very relaxed. There are no traffic jams or stress. In general, Uruguayans drive very considerately and as a pedestrian, you are allowed to cross the road everywhere.
But there is also the other side. In South America, there are many very old cars because importing cars used to be very expensive. They were well taken care of, but now they have aged and there are quite adventurous ways to get the car started or to support it up the hill (see picture).
