21.12. Our journey takes us to Conguillio National Park today. We have a reservation and we are proud that everything should work out as we wish. At the entrance, the ranger tells us that we can drive to the small lagoon, but after that the road is too bad for our 2WD to handle. On Sunday, there were many visitors who damaged the road. (Why they didn't fix the road on Monday is beyond us) We are getting a little frustrated with the developments... At least we take a walk around the lagoon, just so that we have moved a bit today. From the back side, you can see the Llaima volcano, which is worth it and makes us happy. Just as we are about to leave, the people from Wallis arrive. Since they have a 4x4, they will certainly be able to drive the passage. We are jealous. After saying goodbye, we decide to inspect the road section and then decide. It turns out that with a little luck, it should be possible. And lo and behold, on the third attempt, we manage the key point with the "Gildemeister"! After that, the road is in good enough condition for our fancy little car. There is a campground here and we can stay in the park, even though it is really expensive. The showers are either extremely hot or ice cold. You can use the 10 seconds in between every two minutes. Vivian and Michel arrive shortly afterwards. And we also meet them again on the hike to Sierra Nevada. We make plans for a Tichu evening. The two of them don't know the game, but they want to learn it. As it turns out, they are just as enthusiastic players as we are and it will be an entertaining and cheerful evening!
