15.01.2020 - Day 20 - Lake Taupo, New Zealand

After a good breakfast, we drove to the Huka Falls today, which are located right outside the gates of Taupo. An 11m high waterfall, with over 220,000 liters of ice blue water plunging into the depths every second. Afterwards, we went to Lake Taupo, which is almost 100 square kilometers larger than Lake Constance.

After eating out somewhere every day for the past 14 days, we decided to stay in our "Kiwi Suite" today and have ham and salami sandwiches for dinner 😋. To do this, we went to the largest supermarket in Taupo and did some proper shopping. Of course, a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc couldn't be missing. And because we had promised our dear friend Michael Raphael Klein 😊 to watch the latest Inga Lindström film, in which he plays the lead role, we had a "heart-melting" 🥰 movie from the ZDF media library with our sandwiches and wine 🤭😃

Small afterthought: we just went back to our terrace and admired the most beautiful starry sky 🌟 you can imagine. With a huge "Southern Cross" right in front of us and even the Milky Way can be seen with the naked eye 🤩.
