Day 17: Bye Bye Vis

Birt: 23.03.2023

23.03.23

Woke up at 05:30 with a beautiful sunrise. The early bird catches the worm or goes back to sleep. I chose the latter.

The ferry leaves at 15:30, no need to rush. Instead, I decided to do a quick workout, which is perfect in this place.

After breakfast, I hopped back on my bike and let's go, the last stretch. A short stretch, with, as expected, steep climbs. I'm starting to enjoy it and I'm smiling to myself as I have to be careful not to fall sideways in first gear.

Passing by another small resort called Milna, which mainly consists of vacation rentals, my path leads back to Vis. I still have some time here before the ferry comes. Perfect for a midday nap and then enough time to search for photo editing programs that allow me to make already brilliant photos even better by adding hearts. To celebrate the day, I also had a börek.

I really fell in love with this island, so I'm a bit sad to leave on the ferry. I enjoyed my time here very much. The sea with its bright blue spots together with the beige rock formations, the sunset, the many bushes and flowers... There was so much to admire here.

Not much more to do on the ferry and afterwards. I'm quite exhausted, probably because of the sun, which I may have had a bit too much of. Today and yesterday it was almost summery and the sun was shining bright. For my ultimate goal of the trip, to have a perfectly tanned body, this was the perfect start. Assuming the slight redness on my face won't turn into a sunburn overnight and instead will develop into a summery complexion.

On the way to Bürsti, I pass through the city once again. It feels like the weekend. But who needs the weekend without work and obligations. Besides, it's only Thursday. The early bird is also going to bed early today. I might also have a slight cold.

Tomorrow, it's back on the road with 4 wheels. Next stop: Dubrovnik. The GPS says 222km. Around 40,000 inhabitants. Like almost all cities here, there are old stone walls. That's all for now.

Jessica will probably join me tomorrow evening as well.
