We did an incredibly amazing cooking class on a small eco-farm. First, we picked and harvested all our ingredients ourselves, and then we made the dishes completely from scratch, without buying any products. There was red curry with homemade coconut milk, a stir-fry with chicken and delicious greens, duck egg omelette with pumpkin in oyster sauce, and rice cooked over a fire in a bamboo tube. We prepared everything in a wok on coal. We also cut a huge banana blossom into rings (like onion rings) and then deep-fried them: Banana Tempura. The whole thing was served in bamboo tubes with banana leaves.
It was very interesting to see how this family lives there and it was definitely one of our highlights.
