Goodbye Chiang Mai, hello Ko Phangan. We wanted to spend the last few days at the beach. Although there were still plenty of things to do in Chiang Mai, we had had enough. Off to the sea. But it's not that easy. Ko Phangan doesn't have its own airport, so we had to take a ferry. First, to the airport, two-hour flight to Suratthani, then an hour and a half bus ride to the ferry, wait for another hour at the ferry, then a two-and-a-half-hour ferry ride to Ko Phangan, and finally a taxi to the hotel. We left our hotel in Chiang Mai at 10:30am, and arrived at our hotel in Ko Phangan at 9pm. But it wasn't so bad. A travel day in the middle is also part of the journey. Our room is great, the bathroom too, and the restaurant, the pool, and everything else. A good tip from my colleague. And here we actually met a family again who was with us during rafting, they were staying right next to us. It's a small world. More from Ko Phangan tomorrow.
