We arrived in Palau ๐ต๐ผ at 3:00 in the morning, unfortunately it was dark, I would have loved to see everything from above, but that won't work on the departure either, because we are also flying in the evening.... but I liked the airport, very small, four wooden houses for passport control and everything was very nostalgic, I would say 20s 30s style. Although it was dark, I liked everything I saw... even our accommodation, everything is so nostalgic.... we have a big room, two big beds, one for each of us...
There is a little kitchen for cooking, everything we need is there, unfortunately we only booked four nights here and have been walking around yesterday and today to find accommodation, which is proving to be very difficult at the moment, as everything is fully booked for the holidays.
But we had many nice encounters with the people here, they just stop... and ask if they can help.
And so we learned a thing or two, we were approached by two "elderly ladies" (they were exactly our age, just looked a bit older) in front of a bank, asking if we need help. We then told them that we are looking for a place to stay, and they drove us around the island where they thought there might be something... but there was nothing, so they brought us back to our accommodation... we would have walked, but since we've been here it's been raining almost constantly, but it's warm... well, we can't have it all... we exchanged numbers and I think we'll meet again...
This afternoon we received the message that we cannot book the room any longer, the alternatives we looked at were very bad, compared to here... and especially very expensive... so here on the island it's already luxury for me, in terms of prices... but okay, we knew that it would be more expensive here... so they showed us a room in the basement that was three times smaller than this one and only had a small bed, Mona then talked to the landlady again and negotiated very well, because now we can stay until the 29th, we found something else through Couch Surfing and made an inquiry... so we can concentrate on tours tomorrow and hope that the weather gets better, because there is a lot to explore here, and we are already doing that... by the way, I already got a marriage proposal, he offered to drive us around by car... but I think we'll call the two girls, they'll be happy to get out... so guys, a few more pictures... and life is beautiful...
There are not many pictures yet, of our accommodation and from the aquarium, the sea hasn't been there yet...
