Yesterday, a day tour was on the agenda. First, we went to the Kuang Si Waterfall. There you have the opportunity to dip into the turquoise water, climb stairs with a great view at eye level with the treetops of the National Park, observe Asian black bears (moon bears) in the enclosure, and if there is still time, visit the butterfly park.
Afterwards, we went to the Manifa Elephant Village. There, lunch was served, and then the elephant lady could be fed with bananas 🫶🏽
Then we took a boat to the Pak Ou Caves (Buddhist temples). However, due to my long travel time with many, many, many, and even more many temples and Buddhas 🥵, it was not particularly interesting. The good Laotian summer rain added to this 😜
Just in time for the subsequent whisky tasting made from rice, the sun came out again 🤗
For tasting, there were three different types with different alcohol content.
The last boat route on the Mekong that day led back to Luang Prabang. 🚤
Today, the sightseeing tour in the town was on the agenda. There is not much spectacular here, which is why I only took a few photos. Many, many temples and even more temples can undoubtedly be admired here for a whole day 😅😅👀
But we already did that. 😯
Nevertheless, the town is a really nice and worthseeing place with many small shops and cafes. So, I went on a little shopping tour 🫠
This evening, I will stroll through the night market and tomorrow morning around 5:30 am, I will go to the Mekong. Apparently, there is a daily ceremony along the Mekong 🤷🏼♂️
Nothing spectacular is planned for tomorrow, and I will simply enjoy my free time with another 'nothing to-do day' 🤭
On Monday, before lunch,
we will continue to the slightly more southern Vang Vieng (approximately in the middle between Luang Prabang and Vientiane).
There I will be stationed until the early morning of the 19th of July 🫡
See you soon 🫦🙋🏼♂️
