A little bit of gospel, jazz, and sea breeze...

On May 13th, I woke up in the morning with the firm intention of taking a shower. I undressed and was ready. I waited for the water, but even after 5 minutes, it didn't get any warmer. That morning, I wasn't able to turn off my brain and take a cold shower :D So I just did a quick wash and dealt with the problem later on. We then walked to a church where we met Teresa. She brought us sandwiches and a croissant for breakfast from her hostel. The reason why we met in front of the church? Teresa's amazing travel guide recommended a gospel church service :D So we walked in with our winter jackets and hiking boots at 7:45 in the morning. It was Mother's Day and we were warmly greeted at the entrance by the predominantly African American community. They gave us a flyer that was even in German, so we knew what was happening. Why do I emphasize that we attended the church service in functional clothing? Everyone else was very fancy. They were wearing costumes, hats, and suits. But it didn't matter. Somehow, we instantly belonged there and it didn't matter what we were wearing. And then the first choir started singing on the balcony. It was absolutely fantastic. Tears came to my eyes immediately and all three of us got goosebumps. It was an amazing atmosphere. The community jumped up and clapped, and you could hear everywhere: "Praise the Lord
