Tag 46 - German Racewars day 2/4

Hey everyone

Today we had a bit more luck with the weather. It stayed dry all day and it also got a bit warmer in the afternoon.

So, why did one of the vehicles catch fire? The reason was as follows: There was a small hairline crack in the fuel line, which caused a small fuel leak that was sprayed in the engine compartment. Due to the heat of the engine, this ignited and resulted in the fire.

Two of our drivers went to check on the car and get replacement parts.

We watched the drift shows, inspected the vehicles on the premises, and observed some of the quarter mile races.

Two of our people also took part in the races and you won't believe it: one of them had a driveshaft failure. So one of our drivers was busy organizing replacement parts :).

I don't know what's going on this year, we've never had so many defects before...

In the afternoon, Robin and Phil also participated in the race. The two Audis racing against each other was a great sight!

Later, we all sat in the tent and chatted for a while. However, today was an early "go to bed" mood, everyone was exhausted from the day and also from last night. It's never quiet here :).

Tomorrow, if everything goes well, everyone will have their vehicle again and can participate in the quarter mile :).
