The last two days I spent in Hua Hin. This city is very beautiful and especially clean compared to Bangkok. As a Spanish guy from my hostel told me, this is because the Thai royal family has had their summer residence here since 1926. Hua Hin is very calm and cozy, there is no hustle and bustle and there are no crowds of people walking around. On Sunday, I went for a walk and walked to the beach, then I got delicious food from a stand on the street and ate fresh mango. I also visited a shopping center and in the evening I went to a bar, which was about 200 m away from my hostel, to watch football.
Yesterday morning I thought about visiting the Wat Khao Takiab temple and decided to go there with a scooter taxi, which is incredibly fun π΅.
The temple is beautiful and very small. I received a small blessing there, which is supposed to bring me luck.
There are many monkeys at the temple who are waiting to be fed by tourists. Often they start climbing on people, which is cute to watch.
After the temple, I went towards the beach. I strolled back towards my hostel and at some point, after about half of the way to the main road, I stopped to have a drink. Then I went to the two shopping centers again and looked around, and in the evening I went back to the small night market.
Hua Hin is very nice for 2 days. If you want to have a beach vacation in Thailand, you can do it here very well, but these 2 days are enough for me and I am happy to continue to Koh Tao for my diving course! π
