Slowenia - Pivka

We are in Pivka. Here is the military base of Slovenia and right next to it is the 'Park of Military History'.

For museum enthusiasts, military and history enthusiasts, and campers. Because the museum offers a camping spot for €10 per night. The nice thing is, it includes a ticket for one person worth €12, only additional people have to pay admission. We were very happy about that because after all the coastal towns, a museum with a historical background was just right for us.

'The Military History Park Pivka is a new and rapidly developing tourist museum center. With a variety of exhibits and a wealth of collections, it offers visitors a unique insight into national and international history.'

It truly is a unique experience in the museum. Many well-preserved exhibits can be viewed, and the history of Slovenia is vividly explained through images and videos. Even a train from the time of World War II can be seen outside.

We really enjoyed it, and the camping spot was nice too. Behind one of the military bases with a museum and in front of it, the goats grazed.
