From Wolfgangsee we started our multi-day journey back to Fliegenberg on Thursday morning. The Germany-Austria border was unspectacularly unoccupied and uncontrolled, so there were no discussions about possible Corona entry rules 😏
We stayed overnight in a park in Schwarzenfeld, north of Regensburg, including a small paddling pool - great refreshment for the kids after the long drive.
On Friday we went another 350 km north to the overnight spot of the small free zoo in Schönebeck on the Elbe near Magdeburg. Here, in the evening, the kids counted pigs and watched chipmunks.
On Saturday we continued the last stretch and by noon we were back home after exactly 3 months and almost 6000 km on the road.
Home sweet home, the kids were very happy to be back home and together we untangled our jungle today and turned it back into something like a garden. 🤓
It was beautiful on the road - but it's also beautiful to be back here.
The caravan served us well and hopefully will continue to do so in the coming years, because camping is the new way of vacationing 🥳
This was our last entry on this blog. We hope you enjoyed following our journey virtually! See you soon in person! 😏
