Departure to the West Coast of the South Island to Charleston, saying goodbye to Marlborough Sound in beautiful weather. The drive along State Highway 6 was once again characterized by a magnificent landscape, with the mountains slowly getting higher.
Stopover in Nelson and the Buller Gorge Suspension Bridge, you can also tackle the return journey across the suspension bridge using a zipline.
After arriving in the old gold mining town of Charleston, we were able to witness a breathtaking spectacle of the Tasman Sea. Unfortunately, it was already quite late and not very bright anymore, but maybe we will take some nicer photos tomorrow.
