On the weekend, I visited Camden Market with a friend. The market is located in the Camden Town district of London.
The entire market covers a huge area. Various buildings and squares house over 1000 small shops. You can find many small jewelry stands, clothing stores, bag stores, music stores, thrift stores, artists of all kinds, and a large number of street food stalls from all over the world.
The market has been around since 1974. It is open every day for 8 hours and is a major tourist attraction. In 'normal' times, the market is visited by 500,000 people every week and is also one of the largest markets in London.
In addition to the Camden Market area, Camden Town is also a very popular place. Because here you can also find other popular attractions, such as Kings Cross station, well known for Platform 9 3/4 from Harry Potter, or the British Library, the British Museum, or the London Zoo. Another major part of the neighborhood is the thriving arts scene. You can discover many graffiti pieces and some houses on Camden High Street are especially designed.
I highly recommend visiting Camden Market if you are ever in London. It is a beautiful place with a lot to discover.
