We are almost ready to take off๐Ÿ›ซ...Switzerland we are coming๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

The last month was full of surprises: celebrations, paperwork, disappointments, joy, illnesses, goodbyes, reunions, moving, organizing, fears, happiness, and not to forget full of adventures!

After returning from Bangkok to Koh Lanta last month, we eagerly waited every day for the mail with the visa decision for Canon. There were tears and frustration when we opened the envelope: no visa๐Ÿ˜ญ After talking to the consulate personally on the phone, my foster father Heinz ran from office to office in Zurich and the surrounding area for a day and managed the last documents for us! Again, a huge thank you to Heinz๐Ÿ˜ Juppy, what a joy to see my loved ones again and to show Canon my homeland๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

At the same time, I started my own company๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Œ Now there is not much standing in the way of my business plan. We have also found suitable land to rent, and once we return to Lanta in mid-July, this contract will also be signed and construction can start in August! We will build a small, cozy bungalow complex and hopefully welcome the first guests from the next high season (November/December 2018)๐Ÿ‘ The opening date depends heavily on the weather and the pace of the construction workers๐Ÿ˜Ž

It is very exciting but also nerve-wracking to get to know the law here, nothing beats good relationships and a brilliant lawyer/accountant๐Ÿ˜‰

Now it's time to plan, draw, gather ideas, and continue to take care of visas and work permits. An exciting time awaits us!

We also had to say goodbye to Lanta Sport Resort, which was my home for 9 months! Kapunka mak mak to Everybody๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜I also enjoyed my last Muay Thai class with full power, I will definitely continue to train but no longer on a daily basis without the student visa!

Canon has been working and enjoying time with his friends, he is very nervous about the Swiss vacation and can't believe it yet, as he has never been on vacation, not even in his own country! So we decided to visit his family in Songkhla and travel to northern Thailand for 1 week.

The plan was actually to start the journey in early June, but we left 4 days later than planned because I had to go to the hospital๐Ÿ˜ญ At first there was suspicion of dengue fever... but the all-clear came 3 days later, phew, luckily! I had some bacteria and had to be on a drip for 1 day, which fortunately helped me recover quickly, even though the excessively high bill was an absolute cheek!

Last Saturday we packed everything and were able to store our things at Sita's, my friend's place! Kapunka๐Ÿ˜

The 3 days with Canon's family passed by too quickly, it was so beautiful! We took care of his mother's health, met his daughter, and enjoyed time with his family๐Ÿ˜ Then it was time to go to Chiang Mai.

Chiang Mai is the second largest city in Thailand and offers a lot. We visited a friend from Lanta, visited various temples for a day, and prayed a lot. In the evening, we enjoyed a bar with live music or delicious food and a wonderful massage๐Ÿ˜

The drive from Chiang Mai to Pai in the mountains is breathtaking, with about 760 curves, 3 hours in a minivan๐Ÿ˜… Pai is a small, sleepy hippie mountain village surrounded by nature and sights. We enjoyed the motorcycle ride to Pai Canyon where we climbed around, visited the white Buddha on the mountain, walked through a stone tap cave, and visited a famous bridge from World War II. As the weather changed every minute, we went too high too quickly and were soaking wet to our underwear, the last day forced us to rest... We would have liked to go to the waterfalls and hot springs, but our bodies said stop and we relaxed in the beautiful bungalow and in town.

The journey from Pai to Bangkok was long and exhausting. Exploring Bangkok with a local is absolutely exciting๐Ÿ˜ƒโœŒ Driving through the massive traffic chaos on a motorbike taxi or tuk-tuk alone is an experience worth it. We shopped a lot, ate delicious food, enjoyed cosmetics and massages, visited temples, met Canon's son and friends, and enjoyed a dip in the pool. I love Bangkok! But after 3 days, we've had enough of the hustle and bustle๐Ÿ˜…

So, my dear ones, in 8 hours we will make our way to an airport and look forward to Switzerland and to seeing you all๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Sawadee kah and Kapunka,

Daniela
