09/10 - A cozy Sunday

Naipablaak: 16.10.2016

On Sunday, I was so exhausted from my eventful Saturday that I didn't feel like sightseeing. The search for a good bookstore led me (once again by chance) to the most amazing bookstore in Singapore, Books Actually.

There, I took my time browsing through the shelves and enjoyed the atmosphere of the bookstore. When I finally decided on a book, I sat down in a cafe on the same street to start reading. The bookstore was located in a totally cute neighborhood, just perfect for spending a peaceful Sunday! However, in the cafe, a student approached me and we started chatting, and before we knew it, 2 hours had passed. After that, I actually managed to read a few more pages and she continued studying. But then I had to leave because I still wanted to go to a concert at the botanical garden in the evening. But we will definitely meet again :-)

As I said, in the evening I met up with a couchsurfer that I had met at the event on Saturday night, at the concert of the U.S. 7th Fleet Band 'Orient Express' in the botanical garden. The band was great and the location was delightful - a perfect end to the weekend.
