Chiang Mai/Pai & Vietnam

My last post was a while ago, mostly because I've been traveling so much and haven't had time. But now.

After Krabi and Ao Nang, Johanna and I flew to BKK, as it was time for Johanna to go home. After 2 nights in BKK, I got on the bus to Chiang Mai.

The north of Thailand is much less touristy than the islands and coasts in the south. Chiang Mai itself is very quiet compared to Bangkok, so I had 2 very pleasant days there.

Spontaneously, I rented mopeds with 2 buddies and drove into the mountains to Pai. The journey took about 5 hours and was a bit adventurous, as it was my first moped ride ;)

After 2 days in Pai and another 3 days in Chiang Mai, I unfortunately had to leave Thailand. Hoping for a slightly more budget-friendly prices, I flew to Vietnam. The first impression of Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon is very good, but the exhaust fumes here are really bothering me. The traffic is absolutely insane and the countless mopeds make the air smell really bad. Tomorrow, I'm heading to the coast, Mui Ne is calling.
