Paradisiacal conditions

After a bumpy crossing with the speedboat to Nusa Lembongan, we were greeted with a fine white coral beach and crystal clear water ๐ŸŒŠ!

Lembongan is west of Bali and is quite manageable. You can reach almost anywhere by scooter in 15 minutes. There are no cars, only small taxi vans that are narrow enough for the alleys.

So far, everything has always worked out organizationally, from the boat ride to the free taxi to our accommodation.

On the first evening, we rented a scooter at our accommodation for the evening and the next day. Unfortunately, our chosen restaurant was a bit off the beaten track, and I had to endure my first scooter ride in complete darkness and with catastrophic road conditions! A small path led us through small and poorly maintained gravel roads to nowhere.

Finally, when we arrived, the restaurant was of course full ๐Ÿ˜ฑ.

Once we got used to it, the scooter is a gift from heaven (especially for 5.โ€” per day!), as it takes us to every conceivable place on the island.

That includes the small neighboring island Ceningan.

Unfortunately, the time has come... The moment when we really start to annoy you with beautiful beach pictures! ๐Ÿ˜œ

You can reach this beautiful spot via the Yellow Bridge!

Many small beach clubs and bars line the beaches. You can live a little better on the hammocks than in the office ๐Ÿ˜‰!

I have to apologize, the blog writing is not going so smoothly. On the one hand, during yesterday's snorkeling trip, my underwater camera drank water, and on the other hand, we are a little stressed.. Unfortunately, luck is not on our side, especially when it comes to food ๐Ÿ˜… After waiting for our meals for 1 hour and 15 minutes, 45 minutes, and 50 minutes, my patience is at an end! The food was always excellent, but we still have to get used to the casual attitude here. I also had to start ordering double portions, as one portion could certainly serve as a winter supply for a dwarf hamster, unfortunately, it is only enough for me as an appetizer ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Enough crying, I just want to draw your attention to the real problems of a world trip! You can't enjoy paradise when you're hungry ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Yes, and paradise is the right word! On our snorkeling tour, we went to Mantabay.. And yes, we saw them! In the murky water, these creatures from another world suddenly appeared, holy moly, it was impressive!!! These huge 2-meter-long creatures glided past us as if weightless.. Hopefully, the photos will follow when my camera is revived ๐Ÿ˜• The 3rd dive spot was also the absolute hammer, Mangrove Reef. I can't describe it to you, it was simply breathtaking! It was like swimming in one of the aquariums at the Zoo Zurich! With a piece of banana in hand, a huge school of fish formed around poor Gianna ๐Ÿ  ๐ŸŸ.

Now we're sitting in a beach bar, recovering from the unspeakable hardships of the trip ๐Ÿ˜œ Because a ship with a Chinese tour group docked on the beach, which quickly chose us as photo subjects. Surrounded by a screaming and giggling group of Chinese women in overpriced dresses, we obediently took one photo after another ๐Ÿ˜‚!

Today we are moving on to the next accommodation and then back to the island of Bali, where we will spend the rest of our trip to Indonesia.

It is really highly recommended! Very cheap, beautiful, and above all, the people are without exception friendly and talk to you. The only thing that bothers us is the amount of trash that is lying around.. ๐Ÿ˜•
