Early start for the last day in Exmouth to find some turtles. At this time of the year they won´t go on the beach yet, but they said, they will meet & mate near the beach in the early mornings. So with the sun not up yet, the moon still visible it is a cold walk down to the beach and along the beach looking for turtles in the water... After walking for some time, we found two turtles swimming close to the beach.
After this strenuous morning activity Stuart wanted to have a good breakfast to be prepared for the activity of the day: snorkelling at Turquoise Bay in the Cape Range National Park. It was a pretty windy day, so not only the water was cold, but also lots of sand in the water, so not a so good view on all the colourful fish at the reef close to the beach.
After getting changed into dry cloth and warming up in a place protected from the wind, Stuart wanted for the last time in Exmouth some ice-cream. After having a cup of ice-cream Stuart enjoyed playing with the toys in the cafe before heading back to the accommodation. On the way, we spotted two emus walking around The Big Prawn of Exmouth. The reason was simple: there is a water refill place for campervans, caravans, etc., so the emus enjoyed a small bath in the water-filled holes before running off again.
