We were woken up by strong wind and rain during the night, and the forecast for the day was not much better. Between late breakfasts, two marmosets stopped by our terrace, who were also not keen on rain.
Around midday we set off towards "Lagoa da Conceição" in the centre of the island. From a vantage point we overlooked the 20 square kilometre lagoon and the neighbouring town. We then strolled around a bit and found a small vegetarian buffet restaurant. They charge by weight, which is often the case in Brazil. The plate was well filled, the price of €12 including fresh juice was fair and the food was super tasty. As there were still lots of clouds in the sky, we drove to a café on the other side of the lagoon for a small dessert with a good view of the lake. At another beach we watched a few fishermen and then made our way home, where after dinner we changed our travel plans a bit.
