German baking art

Naipablaak: 29.09.2017

Last week Josh and I dared to bake pretzels. Thanks to Thermomix, it wasn't a big effort to make the dough. Amazingly, everything went really well (better than in Germany). The end result also tasted really good. It was a little preview for the Oktoberfest in Canberra, which I will be flying to in October. Some other aupairs and I are going to the Oktoberfest in Canberra. Crazy, right? Never been to the Wiesn, but going to Australia :) I'm curious to see how it will be.

Last week Eddie also had his birthday and I baked a cake for him with my host mom and a paleo cake for his sister. My first sponge cake turned out pretty good. The paleo cake is made with lots of paleo chocolate (if you like chocolate, you won't like pure paleo chocolate) and coconut. The frosting had avocado in it, which definitely wasn't my thing.
