So we continue to Tokyo after Nagano! Tall buildings and crowds of people. And to make it clear from the start: Tokyo itself does not have 30 million inhabitants. The city consists of 23 districts, which together have about 9 million inhabitants. However, the Tokyo metropolitan area, which also includes the cities of Yokohama (the second largest city in Japan), Kawasaki, Saitama, and Chiba, has nearly 37 million inhabitants. There is also not really a dividing line between the cities:)
We live in the Asakusa district with Tokyo's most famous temple: Senso-ji. That was also our first destination. However, the crowds here cannot be compared to those in Nagano or Kanazawa.
