Saturday 26.01. - Australia Day
Holiday in Australia, every family goes to the beach and everyone has fun. The weather was perfect and I went surfing in the morning. In the afternoon, I was very glad to find a shady spot, and in the evening, Felipe and I went to Palm Beach for surfing and bodyboarding.
Sunday 27.01.
On this day, I was working with Jude again, and we painted the roof of his garden shed. (Which actually only his dog sleeps in)
In the afternoon heat, Jude and I built an extension to his outdoor barbecue. After a beer at the end of the workday and 11 hours of work, I said goodbye and went to the next sleeping place.
Monday 27.01. - Bridge day
Monday was a long weekend in Australia, so I could relax. A little surfing, a little sunbathing, and good cooking in the evening, that's the way to live.
Tuesday 29.01. - Friday 01.02.
During these days, I was working every day in Manly. A new colleague, Marc 20, from Bremen, started on the construction site, and we got along quite well. On the way home on Thursday, I got pretty tired and due to a moment of carelessness, I caused a minor rear-end collision at a traffic light. There was no major damage, but it was annoying.
But here too, the Australian serenity could be felt, as it was only a minor fender bender.
Saturday 02.02.
I enjoyed the day off and went surfing a little. Since there were very high waves due to the current, I was thrown around quite a lot. On the way to the car, I injured myself and cut my left little toe, which was quite painful.
Sunday 03.02.
I was working with Jude again and gave the roof of the garden shed its second coat. While I was painting on the roof, I received a call from some friends who were at Barbara's farewell party. They seemed very drunk but were also visibly having fun. After some more work, it was already evening again. Working with Jude was a lot of fun, but it also required a lot of mental work.
Monday 04.02. - Friday 08.02.
During the week, I was working on the construction site every day. In the afternoons, I often went snorkeling and then drove up to the lookout.
On Friday evening, a big storm hit North Sydney and I have to admit that I was a little more than respectful, more like scared.
When I could sleep well on a side street, I woke up in the middle of the night. A boy was sitting in the driver's seat, probably drunk and on his way home from partying. I had forgotten to lock the car, and after checking if everything was still there or if something had been stolen, I continued driving and was able to sleep soundly.
Saturday 09.02. - Sunday 10.02.
The weekend was pretty uneventful. I rearranged María a bit, started reading a manga series called 'One Piece', and treated myself to a few cold beers.
