Anne's Birthday

Well, my birthday is almost 4 weeks ago now and we actually haven't managed to work on the blog here... There are many reasons for that, but now I finally sit down and catch up a bit :)

My birthday started quite early with a birthday carriage (insiders know what that is :D) to the birthday breakfast table, where some surprises from home were waiting for me, brought by Birgit and Matthias. After the delicious breakfast, we drove with our rental car to Ornos Panagias, a small village on the second 'finger' of the Chalkidiki Peninsula, from where our pirate ship started. The mini cruise took us along the coast of the Republic of Mount Athos, the third 'finger' of the Chalkidiki Peninsula, which can generally only be entered by tourists with visas (and officially only 15 are issued per day) and in fact only by men. Not even female animals are allowed here. ...Everyone can now think what they want about it. In the meantime, we had a nice sunny stay in a small town where we shopped for souvenirs and sunbathed by the sea. Then we went back with the pirate ship, and FloH even organized an incredibly creamy cake that we enjoyed on board in the sun :)

After we were back in the apartment, I skyped with my family at home and we all sat together for a long time and talked ;) I will definitely never forget my birthday... :) <3
