Day 5 in Nepal

If yesterday was excellent weather today is at least.... pope weather? Conny and Camilla want to sit on the terrace all day today, enjoy the sun, read and watch TV. Admittedly, the mountain film on offer is top class, in color and HD. However, my curiosity drew me to the northern valley towards Annapurna to explore the area. It went about 500 meters downhill, the path led through subtropical forest again and past rice fields. The views of the mountains became more and more breathtaking and today they were also in full splendor without cloud cover during the day. Agriculture was extensively practiced in the valley, but at a level similar to that of our great-grandparents. The heavily frequented road turned out to be a dirt and gravel road, and you can imagine what it looks like during the rainy season. Colorful buses are the main means of transportation in Nepal, they come every few minutes and stop wherever people are standing, sometimes every 20 meters. Imagine a German bus driver whom you ask for an extra stop....

In the evening there was a spectacular moonrise over Manaslu.
