Castro Urdiales to Laredo

After the first laundry day (clothesline stretched across the room), we went for breakfast and then passed by a bullring to the local albergue. Here, the hostel mother gave us the 'Sello'. A group of 14 pilgrims from Upper Bavaria joined us for a while. The path led us through a small forest, which soon gave us a view of the Atlantic. There, cows really chill with a view of the ocean. After long, uneventful asphalt roads, we arrived in Liendo, where it got really great because it went uphill significantly. This was followed by the most beautiful section of today's journey. The sea on the right and the mountains rising on the left. The rocky path snaked through unfamiliar flora. At the highest point, we were rewarded with a fantastic view of Laredo with its almost 6km long sandy beach. After a very challenging day of hiking, we reached our beautiful country hotel after 28km.
