It seems to be a problem in Siberia too. Today, for the first time since we arrived in Russia, the weather was worse. It was noticeably cooler and rainy. We didn't let that discourage us and took a elektrichka (small regional train) to Akademgorodok, located 30 kilometers south of the city, and visited the scientific center of Siberia. Sending greetings to Marie and Julija, who spent their semester abroad here.
This small town is surrounded by a forest, which we also hiked through. Of course, we got a little lost - luckily a mushroom picker helped us.
Furthermore, here on the Ob River is the 'Ob Sea', the largest lake in the area.
It could be really beautiful there if the entire beach and the adjacent forest weren't completely filled with trash :-( ...
Of course, we continue to try all sorts of regional food. Today, we had baljash, a Kazakh dish, on the menu.
Tomorrow, we plan to explore the city center of Novosibirsk and then continue by train at night...
Greetings from our so far most beautiful hotel, the four-star Marins Park Hotel, located right next to the central train station.
