Finally, let's go!
On the first Christmas Day, it really started. From TXL to Madrid with a one-hour layover, then on to EZE. Unfortunately, we only left Tegel with a two-hour delay. So we could forget about the connection with arrival at nine o'clock in the morning in Buenos Aires. And me on crutches because of a sprained ankle!
But praise for IBERIA. They picked me up in Madrid with a wheelchair. Transfer to the hotel, there was even something to eat at three o'clock in the morning (we weren't the only stranded ones), but unfortunately no beer. The room was okay, in the minibar there was a small can of Heineken - well then, into the bathtub!
After 5 hours of sleep, we continued after a good breakfast around noon. But day flights are really annoying. After almost 13 hours, we landed at 9:00 p.m. local time in darkness. I had severe pain and a swollen leg. Fortunately, we were picked up and arrived in Vicente López around 11:00 p.m.
But before that, the usual arrival at the airport. Surprise! We were actually used to 'normal' airport prices. However, during the last few months, it seems that inflation has not kept pace with the devaluation of the peso. In any case, I paid ARS 125, converted to € 2.80, for my Quilmes 0.5.
Despite the late hour, after greetings and unloading the luggage, we went for a nightcap to 'Tiempos' (https://m.facebook.com/Centro-Cultural-Tiempos-Modernos-1470162936582161/). Here, too, ARS 125 for the beer, but the whole liter.
