Basically, I am against most establishments that offer the opportunity to pet, touch and feed animals, as these are often just a means to an end and the end is: money!!!
That's why I was a bit skeptical on the way there. What would await me?
Cheetah Rock is different, however. It is a rescue center for animals that have been surrendered or confiscated from poor conditions and which unfortunately would not survive in the wild.
Of course, the conditions in which big cats are kept are not ideal, but the way they and all other animals are treated is characterized by consideration, understanding and love for the animal.
It is easy to imagine that financing such a project is not possible without donations or entrance fees. And the fact that a zebra born in a zoo performs tricks for this is questionable but not reprehensible. Especially since the training is based on positive reinforcement.
Basically, at Cheetah's Rock you get a good insight into the animals that live there, their suffering and also a lot of background information.
A project that you can finance and support with a clear conscience using the entrance fee.
