Rijeka - Grado

The decision to travel the route between Rijeka and Trieste by bus was a good one, there was a lot of heavy traffic on a narrow road. So this morning we went to the bus station in Rijeka. The bus station has its own flair. I tried Flixbus again and it worked, I arrived in Trieste after about 1.5 hours by bike. There were two passport checks when we drove through Slovenia.
Italy, I've never been to Trieste before, big harbor, nice little town center. I looked around for two hours and had a coffee. One thing I noticed straight away was that there were bike paths in the city and cycling outside was more relaxed. So I continued west into the flat country. It was a nice tour, partly the EuroVelo8 again. Until Pepe joins me on Monday, I'm staying for a few days at a campsite near Grado. I got a simple bungalow there.
