We spent the night in a solid tent and were woken up in the morning by the sun rays. After a short breakfast, we packed up a few things and continued into the Caprivi Strip, the journey took a whole 5 1/2 hours during which we were stopped multiple times as we drove through national parks and changed districts. We also stopped briefly to take a look at the Zambezi and the opposite Zambia. For a short shock moment, a dog jumped in front of us on the road, but everyone got away unscathed, otherwise the drive went like most drives here and we drove straight through Namibia for hours and occasionally spotted smaller settlements and people on the roadside.
In the afternoon, we reached our accommodation on the Chobe River, at the border to Botswana, where we will spend the next 3 days very comfortably in a solid house. In the late afternoon, we printed out the permit for Botswana so that we can visit the Okavango Delta tomorrow. After that, we prepared some food and the day ended, looking forward to crossing the border into Botswana tomorrow...
