Arriving in Brisbane, we went straight to the car rental as planned.
After telling them about our problem, they were immediately ready to give us a new home on four wheels. And so it happened - we cleared out everything from Hermie, rearranged it, and off we went.
We spent two days in the beautiful city of Brisbane.
We explored the city on foot and let ourselves be put in the Christmas spirit by a Christmas parade through the streets of Brisbane and a Christmas movie in the open-air cinema.
In the botanical garden, we saw some comrades that I could have done without. The spider, as big as my palm, hung in the bushes in an insane cobweb.
Of course, we knew that there are spiders of a different kind here, but actually seeing one was terrifying.
We will be spending Christmas Eve and the two holidays in Byron Bay, at a campsite right by the sea.
Unfortunately, the weather is not as nice as it has been the past few days, it has been raining all morning.
So today we relax, read, and watch Christmas movies. Tonight, we will go to the city for the 'Christmas Carnival'.
I wish you all a beautiful and relaxing Christmas holiday ❤️🎄
