Ogbe ndịda San Francisco

Ebipụtara: 19.12.2017

On Wednesday, to be precise on 13.12.2017, we went for a little city stroll. I really wanted to buy a new pair of pants. But first, we faced a bigger challenge, namely 'finding affordable parking' in the city. Since we had the rental car and unfortunately were not allowed to park on our street for more than 2 hours at noon, we had to take the car with us. The fines for illegal parking are quite expensive. So, we opted for a 'affordable' parking garage. Luckily, we found one by chance. But even there, we paid $3.50 per hour, which was really the cheapest option around.

First, we went to Levis. There, I found exactly what I was looking for and even got a mega bargain. 50% off on jeans, and I got a free t-shirt as well. Then, we headed to Sephora, where you can get all kinds of makeup. We got some tips from a crazy salesperson. Yes, you read that right, he was a man and he had blue lipstick on. But he really knew what he was talking about! After that, we went to Union Square, a small square with a little green area. On the way there, we could see the world-famous Cable Cars, decorated with lovely Christmas ornaments. It's incredible that something so 'antique' still works.

When we arrived at Union Square, we could admire the huge Christmas tree. I hoped that the Christmas spirit would start to kick in. Unfortunately, that was not the case, but it was still beautiful to look at.

Across from the square, there is a multi-story department store, so we decided to have a look inside.

From the outside, we could already see that there must be a Cheesecake Factory somewhere. Where?

Indeed!!!! I have to go there quickly.... *Grins*

Look at this. Mister Markus Mack, greetings to you, they are amazing. Although your (sometimes also Mama's) cheesecake is also absolutely fantastic. Oops, I digressed. In any case, there was so much to choose from, I didn't know which one to pick. I decided to go for the 'Lowcarb Cheesecake'. It had fresh strawberries on top. Hmmmmm... yummy! It was really good. Carina chose the classic version, the Original. By the way, it's in the first row in the picture, left next to the cheesecake with the strawberries. Unfortunately, mine is not visible in the picture. After a slice, you're really satisfied, although the low-carb version was quite pleasant to eat! Anyone who has tried American cheesecake knows what I'm talking about.

We then strolled around the department store for a bit. I was shocked to discover that they were selling adorable little kittens as potential Christmas presents. As if that wasn't bad enough, no, it gets worse... they don't provide a cat bed (which, in my opinion, is essential). Instead, you get the kitten in a portable cardboard box. Generously equipped with small holes on top. This reminded me of the saying 'different countries, different customs'. Well... I had to get out of there quickly! Otherwise, I would have not only my Kimi at home, but also four new additions of little kittens. I think Kimi and my parents would definitely object to that *laughs*.

On the way through the department store, we came across a funny device. Here, you can easily test lipstick using a visual representation. Let me show you. Of course, I made a little joke out of it.

Isn't it pretty? *Grins*

Or maybe the Snow White style? I found it hilarious. I came to the realization that I'm more of a natural type. Although red seems to suit me quite well.

On the way to the parking garage, we found a cute bakery.

I hope you can see it on the shelf, the rolls are shaped like little bears. So adorable. Markus, that would be a great idea. You should call it 'Mack's Bärle'. Just a little suggestion! *Hahahaha*

When we arrived at the parking garage, I was hit with a huge shock. Imagine this... $9.50 for 3 hours of parking. That's what I call a proud price. I just converted it for you, it's approximately €8. I can't believe it. Quite a substantial amount, but as I said, that's 'affordable'.

When I got home, I immediately packed my things and went to the gym. Exercise is a must! So, that was Wednesday in a nutshell. Not as spectacular as usual. I would just call it normal.
