Tour data: Distance 92.8 kilometers (cum. 3,092 km), travel time 4:46 hours, Ø 19.4 km/h
Weather: cool around 13-15°, first dry, then some rain, ferry ride and dry until Copenhagen. Only in Copenhagen did it rain properly.
The weather forecast for today was not very optimistic. So I was actually amazed that I was still able to start the descent dry in the morning. First I had to catch up those 10 km that I didn't do yesterday. It was a good drive all along the coast though. However, since the sun was not shining and I had to be afraid that it would start raining, I hardly made a stop and drove through. That's why I only got a glimpse of Ängelholm, but it also seems to be a beautiful city.
Here I left the Kattegattleden for the last time. Since I take the shorter route to Helsingborg here, I unfortunately have to drive about 10 kilometers on a road that had almost no traffic. 😊
The rest of the way to the ferry in Helsingborg was mostly cycle paths that were easy to drive on. The distance from Sweden to Denmark is closest from Helsingborg to Helsingør, namely only about 4 km. Therefore, there is a ferry here that only takes 20 minutes to travel. I read that there are a total of 55 connections per day. So I didn't have to worry about waiting times.
Ferries have a special fascination for me. You ride your bike up in one place and down in a completely different place. Yes, that's how we got further without doing anything about it.
On the ferry I met two German men who also travel from Gothenburg to Copenhagen. They told me that they went to Gothenburg with FlixBus and that FlixBus will also pick them up in Copenhagen and drive them home. I thought that was a good idea to have a great experience without having to drive both ways.
On the way we met 3-4 more times, once they were faster and once I overtook them again. But then suddenly they disappeared and I didn't see them anymore.
I was actually looking forward to Copenhagen. Firstly, I've been there before and I liked it, and secondly, there are a lot of interesting sights here. Unfortunately, this time Copenhagen welcomed me with rain and cloudy conditions, which is why I limited myself to looking for a hotel.
My hotel is very centrally located, so I hope it will be nice tomorrow and I can still capture some impressions.
