NEW: 🇬🇧 English version below 😊
Tour data: Distance 118 km (cumulative 2,302.5 km), average speed 22 km/h, max speed 51.5 km/h, driving time: 5:20 hours
Weather: Despite some clouds, very nice and pleasantly warm. The probability of rain was given as 17%. In Oslo, I saw a few wet streets, but only felt a few drops.
I woke up just after 6 am, ready for a new tour - my last to Oslo. After getting ready and storing the luggage, I also had to unpack and prepare my eBike today. It was still in the same place where I hid it. Probably nobody saw it.
Already at 07:36 am, I took the starting photo in front of the hotel and off I went. I cycled on beautiful bike paths for several kilometers and then, unsurprisingly, I found myself on the E16. The E17 became the E16 yesterday, reducing from 4 lanes to 2 lanes. However, there was very little traffic and it was actually easy to ride. The advantage of a main road is that I can make good progress. There are two reasons for this: the road surface is good, and above all, I don't take breaks, photos, and I cycle fast because I want to complete the journey. As a result, today I achieved an average speed of 22 km/h. Since it was Saturday, not a single truck came, so the approximately 20 kilometers were quite relaxing to ride.
At first, my route followed the Glomme river, which is wide but flows calmly. Far east of Oslo, it flows into the Baltic Sea. Therefore, the road, and hence my route, moves away from the river and heads west. Today, there weren't many sights worth photographing along the way. Most of them were churches, mostly located far away from the villages. As they are quite different, I photograph them all.
A sign informed me that I had reached Oslo. According to my komoot app, the destination was still nearly 30 kilometers away. So, I braced myself and cycled through some suburbs. I could only see the city and the sea from a distance. It wasn't worth taking a photo; there were too many streets and houses in the foreground.
After 5 hours and 20 minutes of cycling, I reached my Airbnb where I will be staying for 3 nights. My hosts are Ed and Tonje. They have 2 boys aged 3 and 6.
