Due to my jetlag, I could only sleep very little on my first night. So I decided to get up at 5 o'clock and watch the sunrise. I walked my favorite route from earlier, from downtown towards Stanley Park along the waterfront. Always with a view of the sea and the mountains. After the sun had risen, it quickly became warm. It felt so good to be outside without being completely sweaty after five minutes. After about two hours of walking, I turned around. I walked through downtown and the old town for the rest of the morning. Surprisingly, I felt fit even though I could only sleep for 2 hours.
At half past ten, after more than five hours of morning walk, I made my way to my bus, which should take me to Seattle. After a four-hour bus ride and a very relaxed entry into the USA, I reached Seattle. There I checked into my hostel and, like this morning in Vancouver, walked to the city on foot. I briefly stopped by a camera store, because I slowly need some cleaning supplies for my sensor and lenses. Then I walked more or less aimlessly through downtown and along a pier. As the sun slowly moved lower, I took the metro to the famous Space Needle. After about 30 minutes of waiting, I took the elevator up to this unique tower, just in time for the sunset. I spent the rest of the evening up there before making my way back to my hostel. After walking a total of over 10 hours through Vancouver and Seattle today, I was able to sleep really well... knowing how to defeat jetlag! I really liked Seattle overall because everything is close together and the atmosphere in the city is very calm.
