On the last day we went back to Victoria, but of course not without a few stops. We first did a Wild Pacific Trail around Sooke, which had every kind of path and ran right along the coast. In terms of the path itself, this might even have been my favorite hike. There we saw an awful lot of eagles again, and this time really close up, and you have to say: those things are pretty damn big 😅 Afterwards we drove to Mystic Beach and hiked there on the recommendation of a work colleague, and that was also damn cool. It's all pebble beach here, but there are small caves, a mini waterfall, and a wonderful view of the sea and the surrounding forest! In the evening we arrived back in Victoria and actually stayed at home, as we arrived relatively late anyway, then returned the car and had dinner. The next morning it was time for us to say goodbye to Vancouver Island, maybe we'll see each other again. So we got up early and headed to the ferry. With a total of 4 buses, 1 train and 1 ferry, it took us 5.5 hours to get to our accommodation in Vancouver City. This was a surprise in itself. It is super chic, but unfortunately not for me. It makes you look forward to going home even more 😊🥰 but what I have to say is that it was the most beautiful ferry ride of my life. We drove around the small islands, then out to sea and even saw whales from the ferry!! We were also extremely lucky with the weather (as we were almost the whole time on Vancouver Island) and were able to sit on the sunroof for the entire ferry ride and look at the surroundings! We called the whole thing whale watching for the poor :D
