There is not much to say about Palenque. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
I didn't even visit the city itself. Our cabins are on the edge of the jungle near the entrance to the park. The Mayan ruins are outstanding, only a fraction of which have been excavated. The rest is still overgrown by the jungle, which is also fascinating and very colorful.
There are also some beautiful waterfalls, such as Agua Azul, whose water was not really azul in the current rainy season, but more marrón. It was still refreshing to swim there.
