Four days in Valencia by Julius and Michael

Ebipụtara: 13.09.2021

Hello, our names are Julius and Michael. We are going to present the region of Valencia in Spain on our travel blog.
We spent our vacation there from September 2nd to September 5th.
We would like to inform you about the most beautiful monuments, the food, and the Valencian language.

On September 2nd, we woke up at six in the morning because we had to go to Hamburg. We booked two plane tickets. After about four hours, we arrived in Valencia. We arrived at Valencia Airport at one in the afternoon. The capital is also called Valencia. After going to the center of Valencia with a car that we rented for the four days, we saw many people in the streets. It was a surprise!😃 We went to Las Fallas, a festival that lasts three days. In 2021, it was not held in the summer due to Corona😷, it lasted from September 3rd to 5th. Then we went together to our hotel. We booked two single rooms for three nights. In the afternoon, we had a sandwich and a coffee. After eating our snack, we wanted to go to the beach on foot and go diving. We saw many different animals in the sea. After having an ice cream, we returned to our hotel.

The second day:

Today we woke up at eight in the morning. We slept for a long time. The hotel we stayed at is called "Hotel Venecia Plaza Centro". It is a building located in the old city of Valencia. It has two single rooms with a balcony. So we had a fantastic view of the historic center of the city. All rooms had a bathroom, air conditioning, telephone, television, and internet. It only costs 64 euros per night. There was a buffet breakfast every morning. It was great🤩, you have to spend the nights. After finishing our breakfast, we took a walk in the old city of Valencia. We saw many monuments with an Arab influence, such as the famous Valencia Cathedral. After entering Valencia Cathedral, we saw many phrases in the old building that we couldn't understand. What a pity!🤔 When we went to the modern city, we also saw many monuments. There are many clothing stores and boutiques where we bought things for ourselves and our family. In the early afternoon, we went to the bars, restaurants, and shops that are ten minutes away from our hotel. There we ate many different tapas.

Here in Valencia, the specialty is paella, a simple and delicious food. These are the ingredients for paella:

5 cloves of garlic

300g of rice

250g of prawns

300g of seafood

1 organic lemon

The third day:

The City of Arts and Sciences:

On the day before the last day, we had to wake up very early, at 6 in the morning, because today we went to the "City of Arts and Sciences". As a tourist in the city, you have to visit it! The internet recommended the city to us. The City is the most famous building. After a quick breakfast, we went to the City by car for 30 minutes. Since we left our hotel very early, we did not find out how much the entrance ticket costs😔 It was a surprise. When we booked our tickets, the person at the monument did not understand us. Half of their sentences had new vocabulary. The reason why the person did not understand us was the Valencian language. The person spoke a different language. It was a big problem! But a Spanish person came to us and spoke about the tickets.

Now we understand why we didn't understand the sentences in the cathedral yesterday😀

Our tickets cost 38 euros for one person. It was very expensive because in Spain, children from 13 years old are considered adults. We were able to visit l' Hemisferic, the Museum of Science, and the Oceanografic.

L' Hemisferic: It is a very big cinema where you can watch movies with 3D glasses

The Museum of Science: In the Museum of Science, you can experiment and make exhibitions about science and technology

The Oceanografic: The City of Arts and Sciences is the largest aquarium in Europe. There are about 500 species of fish and dolphins. It is very famous.

Many people also wanted to see the animals, so we couldn't see everything.

We spent the whole day there.

The fourth day:

We woke up at 6 and had lunch at 6:30 in the morning, the food was very tasty as always. The person from the car took his car. At 7:30 in the morning, we went to the airport by bus. At 8, we flew to Hamburg by plane. We flew for 2 hours and 15 minutes. It's good to be in Germany

Our vacation in Valencia was only a few days but very beautiful. We had many things to do on vacation and we believe that we did everything interesting in the few days.

Our best day was the third day because there we saw the best of Valencia: The City of Arts and Sciences. The Oceanografic with the different sea animals was very beautiful and interesting. Even with our little Spanish, we were able to communicate with other people. We were impressed with our large rooms at the hotel!

Goodbye

Julius and Michael
