Day 1 (August 28, 23)

After 9 long hours we arrived in Hamburg around 4 p.m. Of course we went straight to our hostel. When we get there we want to check in only to find out that we are in the wrong hostel and obviously didn't book anything there. So on to a new one: find a hostel. We're lucky at the next hostel, it's actually the hostel where we booked two beds in a dorm. After a short break in the hostel, we just walk towards the water. We walk a bit along the harbor and then walk through the old Elbe tunnel. We quickly buy a few little things and get a pizza which we eat together at the harbor before we go back to the hostel.

Day 2 (August 29, 23)

On Tuesday I slept in until 11:30!! Then we relaxed until we noticed that the ship we wanted to take into the city was leaving soon. So we quickly set off and when we get down to the stop we realize that we were looking at winter time and we still have to wait a few minutes. After the boat trip, we strolled through the Speicherstadt and met four Danes in a café and had a nice chat for a few minutes. Afterwards we went to the Kunsthalle Hamburg, unfortunately Caspar David Friedrich's Man Above the Sea of Fog is not currently on display there, which was a real shame. After the museum we went to the Schanzenviertel and looked at a few shops.
